IAAF ETHICS BOARD - IMPORTANT NOTICE

The IAAF Ethics Board (formerly IAAF Ethics Commission) was an independent judicial body established by the IAAF (now ‘World Athletics’) Congress in accordance with Article 5.7 of the former IAAF Constitution. On 31 March 2020 the Ethics Board was wound up in accordance with a resolution of the World Athletics Council dated 26 April 2019, except for one pending proceeding the final resolution of which has had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Athletics Integrity Unit operates independently from World Athletics and has complete authority for the management of ethics and integrity in athletics in accordance with the applicable rules. All matters concerning integrity and ethics within athletics, including new and outstanding complaints of ethical violations (except for the one pending proceeding referred to above), will be dealt with by the Athletics Integrity Unit.
